Baptisms

For you or your child, the gift of life in Christ!

What we believe and how we do it:

This is all a God thing, through God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
We don’t get baptized because we have learned enough, are old enough, or believe strongly enough. Baptism is a gift from God – plain and simple, no strings attached, no requirements met by the one being baptized.

It's not magic. It is God’s Spirit present, and God’s words spoken, coming together with the water to start the baptized on a journey of new life in Jesus Christ.

We baptize infants, kids, youth, and adults.

We strongly believe that we are baptized into the community of God’s people (all of whom are in as much need for God’s forgiveness as anyone else!)  God puts us into this “family” on purpose – so we can help each other, support each other, challenge each other, and love the dickens out of each other.  Therefore, we also strongly encourage all baptisms take place during a church service.  We are in this together!  (We also recognize that sometimes that is not possible.)

Once a year, typically in August, we will do baptisms or an “affirmation of baptism” in one of the area lakes or in someone’s pool.  Let us know if you would like to be a part of that!

In baptism you are baptized into Jesus and into the journey of life in Jesus.  We very much want to be on this journey in Jesus with you.

Baptisms are the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month (except certain holidays). A one-hour class is required. Please contact the office, 763-263-2209 or office@saron.org.
