Have Questions?

HERE'S A LITTLE INTRO.

                                 FOR NUBIES!

FOR PARENTS NEW TO THE REFUGE:

THE REFUGE is Minnesota's most innovative and growing Lutheran group. As a member your     child will have opportunities that 'til now they    have probably only dreamed about or watched     on television. THE REFUGE will travel all across the    United States as well as one day to places like Greece, Israel and Egypt in search of learning, fellowship and service. Your children will get to   do things like climb mountains, white water raft, repel, zip line, para-sail, ski mountains, fly and travel. Now, before you get too excited  (or concerned), there are many things that you  should know. So read along on this page and never, never be afraid to ask questions.

Student leaders watch out for Saron Lutheran (THE REFUGE) and each other and report any problems to adult leaders. Then all adults report to  Curtis Rieck, Youth Minister.

E-mail Youth Minister Curtis Rieck at SLYGUY@IZOOM.NET to learn more about  THE REFUGE programs.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

At THE REFUGE we believe we join with parents as partners in impacting a student's life.  It is the tremendous assistance and devotion of our parents, which will enable us to develop a program that is both exciting and life changing. With this in mind we expect that all REFUGE parents will support our program as well as their child's participation. This is done both by your own words and actions of encouragement, and by upholding your child in prayer. Further, we expect that all REFUGE parents will make it a point to become actively involved in the Saron Youth Program, cheerfully volunteering whenever able.

THE REFUGE youth program pays great attention and takes great pride in the quality of it's program. We firmly believe that the God we represent, and the kids we serve,  deserve no less then our best at all times. At times this  may seem unusual and the crossing of a "T" not       that important. We feel however, that it is an important part of our earning the right to be     heard by our students, and paves the way for    our enjoying the privilege of incredible youth involvement. We feel that every student   deserves the opportunity to see (through our activities) and us, and hear the plan of God,  which they are free to accept or refuse. As partners with God, we take seriously the responsibility to present what we know is truth     in the most effective way. In this way our   students will be able to fairly judge this truth for themselves.

At THE REFUGE we believe:

"IT IS A SIN TO BORE A KID."
